Proposed Assembly Hall

Proposed Assembly Hall
We -- together as old students of OPASS -- no matter which branch (Association) we belong to - are channeling our resources towards the assembly hall we promised to help build some 5-10yrs ago.
The fundamental problem facing OPASS is that the population has gradually reached numbers that makes it impossible to hold the various meetings we used to have in the dinning hall. During such gatherings, students are found outside doing their own “thing”; the consequences leave much to be desired.
The foundation of the assembly hall has been completed (See photos from OPASS). The next stage is to erect the needing pillars and to the roof etc, etc. The money involved is such projects are quite astronomical, which calls for all of us to contribute our quota on timely and constant basis - towards what we call “a monument” – no mater how small.
During our recent annual reunion in NY, the executive members (N. America branch) agreed to pay $500 each and all others, $300 this year towards this project. Please, let’s honor this promise – Don’t be left out – we need all the money to can come up with – for this project.
Now, if we are able to erect a pillar or two every month; our hope is the structure should be ready for dedication in 3-4yrs time – during the Golden Jubilee (2011). Mpaninfoo, let’s get the message out and join hands in giving back to OPASS. By the way, the Ghana Branch is responsible for making sure that our funds go to where and what it's meant for.
